  • About Euchre

    Euchre is a four player game of cards, but that is only the start.  Learn to play on of the best games ever created.  A game with skill and stategy, luck and cooperation.   Euchre is a trick-taking card game with a deck of 24 standard playing cards created by utilizing the cards 9 through Ace of each suit.

    It is closely related to the French game Écarté and it may be sometimes referred as “Knock Euchre” to distinguish it from Bid Euchre. The United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand all have large followings of the game which is played the world over. Euchre has declined in popularity in the United States since the 19th century, when it was widely regarded as the national card game, but it retains a strong following in some regions, specifically the Midwestern states.
